Leserbilder Astronomie: Messier 17: The Omega Nebula
I share with you my version of the seventeenth object of the Messier catalog. The Omega Nebula, also known as the Lobster Nebula due to its peculiar shape, is located in the constellation Sagittarius, 5,500 light-years from Earth, extending for about 15 light-years. It should also be noted that it is one of the star-forming regions with the highest rate of young stars in our galaxy, only partially visible due to the dust.
